How To Cut Down Your Wedding Budget
Avoid Peak seasons:
Getting married in winter opposed to summer will give you more date availability as well as lower prices compared to peak wedding seasons
Shop locally for flowers:
Locally grown and sold flowers that are in season will be considerably less expensive than flowers that are out of season and being shipped from out of town places
Explore your cake options:
A cake with buttercream frosting and a basic flavor like vanilla or chocolate will be much less expensive than a premium flavor cake that’s covered with fondant. A naked cake with little icing is an even thriftier and trendier option!
No hard alcohol:
By limiting the open bar to just wine and beer and maybe a signature drink, it will much a much smaller bill for the bride and groom.
Have a smaller wedding party:
A small wedding party with 2 or 3 people will allow you to have a much smaller budget for things like bouquet for each bridesmaid
Trim your guest list
Cutting down your guest list by 8 or 10 people at a time will require less tables needed
Cut down on photography time:
Having your photographer leave as the night is winding down is a smart option to save a bit of money and avoid any unwanted pictures of the end of the night
Book a DJ:
A great quality DJ will be much nicer on your budget than a live band of any sort
Explore other menu options:
Considering a reception in the morning or early afternoon allows you to save money by serving breakfast or brunch instead of a costly dinner menu
